Halifax

Halifax has changed considerably in the nearly 40 yrs. since Sandy lived here.
Not too much was familiar.
It was a very hot Sept. 22nd - 25 degrees - so the ferry trip to Dartmouth on the ferry was a welcome cooling trip.

A very busy harbour where we lunched on the waterfront.

After our ferry trip, we visited the museum with theTtitanic exhibit.
The Halifax Explosion of 1917 was of great interest.
It was an incredible disaster that was worse in terms of destruction than either the Chicago Fire or the San Francisco Earthquake of the early 1900's.
This is a sobering episode in Canadian History.
