Acadian Village

The Acadian Village is a must see if you get down this way.
All the building are authentic: built as early as the late 1700s and brought to this site where they are located along dirt roads and down little side paths.

The buildings all have guides dressed in period costume who can tell the most interesting stories about the acadian life.
The land is worked, the blacksmith makes tools, and the life is lived.

We weren't able to see it all, as it was late in the day and the day was too hot to leave Abby for very long.
